I admire all of your enthusiasm, speaking personally I'm behind caring now it's what GSB have done to me

All of this over analysing is puerile, the long and short is we have cunt owners, a cunt manager and mostly cunt players and the cunt owners are reaping what they sow

The cunts

Shit game. I always find losses like that the most frustrating. It’s easier to be beaten comfortably and just hold your hands up.

Not going to excuse the loss or pretend we couldn’t do better, but the reason we didn’t pick up a point or three is that they just got lucky.

Lucky we didn’t score 2-3 in the first half and their keeper had a blinder.
Lucky their captain wasn’t sent off for a blatant straight red foul.
Lucky that not a single block or deflection in their area fell to one of our players
Lucky that totally against the run of play they score a fluke goal

Doesn’t change the fact we really should have done better in the second half and created some better chances, but on another day with slightly different fortunes that’s 2-0 or 3-0 to us.

‘In midfield rice and Soucek did ok’

I thought they was both awful yesterday, Brownhill run the game in there. Probably 2 who deserve most slack don’t get me wrong but they didn’t get hold of the game at all yesterday.

Such is my lack of interest now that I didn't even know we had a game last night, so looks like I dodged a bullet.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Burnley- Official Match Thread
it was obvious they can defend crosses all day

why didnt we try to get to the byline at all for cutbacks or run beyond a bit more to stretch tired legs. Dyche was never going to put any kids on and 2 of his 3 first team players on the bench werent fully fit.

Not changing our players or injecting some pace was just pure basic management

Sorry but I disagree with a lot of that.

At the end of the day Moyes is picking the side to go out and play. Yarmolenko is a good finisher but Moyes sticks him on the wing and expects him to track back when he isn’t that type of player, at least keep the moody fucker up front to stick to single job of finishing.

Burnley are riddled by injuries, their captain and nearly half their best team are injured, as Rossal says it was burnley B team.

West Ham should have planned to tire Burnley out and utilise the extra fit men and play more passing football dragging their players around the pitch instead of continuously pumping into the box again and again hoping Antonio can be a target man. Poor bloke has had no break and was knackered quickly.

As you say Cresswell has lost his shit lately and Moyes continues to pick him over Ben Johnson on the bench. What sort of inspiration to him is that, players playing shit and still no opportunity given.

The issue of subs is a baffling one, as stated before burnley are riddled with injury and West Ham team getting tired. To only make 2 out of the 5 subs available then moan about fatigue after the game is moronic.

The likes of xande Silva/wilshere/Lanzini could have easily came on to give the other players a rest and provide fresh legs to the game in the hope of changing it up but old Dave doesn’t like new options and being so vocal against 5 subs which is laughable.

Those players will never make an impact if they don’t get minutes, they certainly would have a difference compared to knackered Antonio/fornals etc

Moyes has to use the squad to stop the first 11 being injured or fatigued by the time games against the bottom teams come along, because he hasn’t done this. The likelihood of injury is now quite high and the readiness of those on the bench is minimal.

Moyes is rightly getting stuck because it’s basic football management and appears he’s stuck in his ways of years ago and not changing to suit modern game

It’s fairly obvious that at 1-0 are going to dig in even more and defend their area.
Crosses floated in they could defend til midnight.
As said bringing on a passer like Wilshere and some pace like Silva to get behind them is fairly straightforward.
Banging your head against a brick wall with tiring players shows a manager out of ideas.

Now we go to Norwich with tired players and try and find out FIRST league away win this year.

Cresswell went with his foot because he got caught napping, Rodrigues got in front of him and that was the only thing left for him to try as he was hopelessly out of position.

Rossal 11:20 Thu Jul 9
Re: ⚽ West Ham v Burnley- Official Match Thread
Agree Moyes is fucking clueless. Wilshere and maybe even Silva should of had more mins so they can play part of the 3 games in 6 days.

Unless he only had 30 minutes in him, haller should have come on at half time - two up top would have worked better for us. we should have chucked Arthur in for some pace further forward in the second half and brought wilshere in to pick a pass or have a go from distance and at the very least give silva a shot.

The players we need for and raring to go at Norwich at the weekend for what really is a must win game will now be knackered.

Just go and watch the goal again go on I dare you what is the fuck is Creswell doing?
Sunday morning defending as bad as it gets.
I'm sure you would never see a Burnley defender defending like it otherwise he wouldn't play for the next ten games.
Nightmare defending.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Burnley- Official Match Thread
Arthur is Creswell with a bit more pace but alot less brain

Arthur is shocking aswell, see Brighton at home when we brought him on at 3-1 up and within 5 mins of him coming on it was 3-3

He isn't worse, that would be impossible, and at least he has a physical presence, pace, trickery and can cross a ball.

"We do have a replacement for Cresswell in Masuaku."

This happens after a few games of Cresswell playing badly (which is more often than not). People seem to forget Masuaku is most likely even worse than him.

Moyes out.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Burnley- Official Match Thread
My 2 pennies.....

First half we played well, created chances just werent clinical enough. Burnley in typical Burnley fashion had 2 chances all match and scored with 1 of them and then parked the bus.

For their goal though Creswell is inexcusable. Why the fuck he is going with his foot there i dont know. Shocking defending. Would be fine if he was good going the other way but him and Fredricks going forward were so bad. Such shit delivery every single cross and no pace or energy with anything they did near their box.

Burnley are probably one of best in league at defending their box, defending crosses etc......yet the amount of crosses and corners we stuck into Popes hands was silly. Rice was the only one with a brain who tried whipping them in to stop Pope coming out. No one else has the brain capacity to think that a floated cross wont work after Pope collects the first 3.

In midfield Soucek and Rice did ok, you need Bowen and Fornals to be the sparks going forward and Fornals just doesnt have it in him. Bloke is too lightweight, doesnt go past players and can not shoot on target to save his life. I like him but every week he is 5 or 6 out of 10. I cant watch it any longer just get rid and try someone like Eze off QPR instead.

Second half we give it a go but we was fucked because of Moyes. Burnley had a load of kids on the bench, since restart theyve hardly made any subs........ why not get fresh legs to run at their tired legs last half hour. How Fornals lasted 84 mins ill never know, what the fuck is Moyes seeing to keep him on the pitch? Wilshere should of come on, can put his foot on the ball and bit of energy in the middle. Arthur should of come on at LB.....Creswell couldnt cross for shit and they had their 2nd choice LB at right mid!!! Arthur was never going to get run at.......stick him on for last 20/25 mins to put a decent ball in and get us back on level terms. Instead he left it, watched us get more tired and Burnley to suck the life out the game and put Ajeti on with 4 mins to go. Shocking, just shocking. How can GSB call themselves fans and merit keeping this car crash of a manager in charge????

No clean sheet since his first game, no away win since Dec......3 wins in 17 games......

Norwich is must win now, and they have to win.....so you know whats coming...... i actually thought they looked better than Watford the other night so they wont be easy. We have to turn up and win, lets hope we have the legs under us to compete. The bench havent had much time to get up to match pace

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Burnley- Official Match Thread
I thought it was a very frustrating game but we have played three in six days so I thought we looked a bit jaded. They were organised and solid and difficult to break down. The first goal was always going to be important and they got it. Pope was MOTM and deservedly so. I was disappointed with the result but we move on. It wasn't that we didn't turn up but just not our night. I think Noble would have had the nouse as skippper to be in the refs face about the GBH on Bowen to get the thing looked at but have lost all faith in VAR now and don't want to whinge and moan. The thing that annoyed me most was I switched to Sky and Kammy was saying we didn't create enough as the stats on screeen was showing we had 21 attempts on goal. Love Kammy but FFS?????

Rossal - those 'championship' players have beaten a few more premiership sides than us and have a more than ouside chance of qualifying for Europe, so they're obviously of premiership standard.
